I have been in the process of moving, and I am not just moving to a new house, or a new state, but I am moving to another country. All of my things are boxed up and I am currently living out of a suitcase.
I had to set aside just a few pieces that will get me through the couple months that we are still here. It has been difficult because I am not used to having to NOT have options. Trust me, this is a learning experience for me.
With that said, I been having a hard time with date night outfits. I have been living in my active wear because the one thing I know I can survive in is my gym clothes. They are comfy, versatile, and I have some really cute ones so regardless where I go, I will be okay.
Any Fashionista would refuse to wear gym clothes out to dinner. I mean, come on, I think it is a sin to do that! So, because I am a Fashionista who refuses, I will show you how I compromise. I chose to not pack a few of my favorite date night dresses. I chose to leave out the ones that I can wear more than once.
For instance, this floral dress. This dress is my husband’s favorite. I didn’t pack this one because I knew that I could continue to use this dress by changing up a few things to make it look different.
Here are two looks that I created with just this one dress.
It is technically Fall, but in California, we still stuck with the Summer Heatwaves. It has been extremely hot here but as a Fashionista, I must stay within Fashion guidelines. What I mean by that is, if I can’t keep up with fashion by wearing sweaters and over the knee boots, I can at least wear the right colors!
Look #1
For my first date night look, I took this dress and decided to throw on a Burnt Orange Cardigan and added a nice touch with my lace up heels. On another night, I decided to throw on this olive duster with my brown peep toe caged heels. Same exact dress but changed only two things, my shoes and my cover up!
Look #2
If you are stuck in a bind like me, whether you are in the process of moving, or better yet, planning a trip somewhere, pack smart! Find pieces that you can reuse but change up by adding or changing a couple things to it to make it look different.
I was able to create this look by finding items from one of my favorite online store, called Shein. They have so many different styles and colors that you will love. Browse through and don’t forget, choose items that you can use more than once. Be creative and think smart!
