World of Dance San Diego is a hip hop dance competition. The age group starts from 8-17. This dance competition consisted of mostly west coast dance crews. The maximum time they had to showcase their dance skills were 6 minutes. I was so intrigued to see how talented these kids are. It takes hard work, dedication, ambition, lots of practice and commitment. These talented kids, along with their parents and teachers put alot of time and money to entertain us in the world of dance. I had such a great time watching them dance I couldn’t stop cheering, I was practically the loudest one there. The song choices took me back to my childhood days with some old school hip hop jams that made me bob my head and dance in my seat. I loved every minute of it and I must say that this was my first competition and will not be my last! The winner of tonight’s competition was Prodigy Dance Crew. They are Junior Division USA champions for The 2016 Hip Hop International, 1st Place World of Dance San Diego for three consecutive years (2014, 2015, 2016), 1st Place World of Dance Las Vegas for 2 conservative years (2015 & 2016) and champions of Set It Off 2016 Dance Competition.
I am also proud to say that my nephew Gelo Marz is part of this winning dance crew. I am one of his biggest fans and cheerleader! Family over everything. Remember support those you love, work hard for what you want and commit to excellence!
